TxDOT | I-10 East repairs remain ongoing due to roadway failure, TxDOT advises drivers to take alternate routes

HOUSTON– Ongoing repairs to I-10 East after a sudden roadway failure continue to impact traffic. TxDOT advises motorists to seek alternate routes on Thursday, February 5. All eastbound lanes are closed, and the left (inside) lane and shoulder on westbound I-10 remain restricted.

Suggested alternate routes include US 90, US 90A/BU 90 (McCarty Road), or SH 225, all of which can lead back to I-10 further east and beyond the closure.

Motorists may experience delays, and alternate routes are strongly encouraged. TxDOT appreciates your patience and reminds motorists to drive with caution through work zones and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution if driving, walking, or biking near any construction activity.

A full list of closures for this project can be found at Houston TranStar or Drive Texas. Also follow TxDOT Houston on XFacebookInstagram and Threads for roadway updates and information. Closures are subject to change due to adverse weather.
