Intern with HCOHSEM
The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) offers an unpaid internship program for college students or graduates studying Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Communications, Public Administration, or related fields. The internship provides students with a unique opportunity to apply classroom skills and theory to real-life work situations. It also helps them develop the confidence and skills needed to prepare for future employment opportunities.
Applicants must have completed at least two years of college and commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week, on-site during regular business hours. The internship program runs throughout the year:
• Spring (January to May)
• Summer (June to August)
• Fall (September to December)
