METRO has reached another milestone as road construction on U.S.290 nears completion.
Beginning Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, a new HOV/HOT (Express) Lane rampwill open for traffic west of Huffmeister Road. The new entrance ramp will beopen Monday through Friday. Inbound traffic may enter between the hours of 5a.m. and 11 a.m. Outbound traffic may exit the new location from 1 p.m until 8p.m.
The ramp is part of a 2.5 mile extension to U.S. 290'shigh-occupancy lane network and will create faster, more convenient andreliable service for more commuters.
As a result of the extension, METRO's U.S. 290 HOV/HOT(Express) ramp located west of Eldridge Parkway will close permanently onFriday, Dec. 14, 2018 at 8 p.m.
Plan ahead and consider alternate routes in case of delays. Policeofficers will be on site to assist with traffic control.
