HCPH Statement in Regards to ITC Public Service Announcement on Mobile Health Village in Galena Park
Houston-Harris County Public Health (HCPH) was notified of a statement issued by Intercontinental Terminals Company (ITC) regarding the upcoming HCPH’s mobile health village in Galena Park on Saturday, March 30, 2019. The ITC issued statement had incorrect information and HCPH has notified ITC.
HCPH has long supported preventative health screenings in the community for the wellness of Harris County residents. However, as stated by HCPH previously, if individuals have health concerns in reference to the ITC fire, they should follow up with their healthcare provider. If they do not have a healthcare provider, they can find a local health center near them at: https://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/, or they can call the Harris Health System’s ‘Ask My Nurse’ helpline – open from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. daily– to help answer basic health questions. The number is 713-634-1110.
HCPH has been notified that ITC is correcting its statement.
