Harris County OHSEM and the Correa Family Foundation are Teaming Up to Help Underserved Families

(Harris County, TX) – Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HCOHSEM) is collaborating with the Carlos Correa Foundation to help designated underserved families across the county.

This joint effort consists of donating emergency preparedness kits to families in need, who will also receive a 45-Day 1- person super food vault and a 72-Hour survival pack with food, water, and gear. In addition, the foundation will donate personal protective equipment to HCOHSEM.

“The Correa Family Foundation is committed to helping our underserved communities in Harris County for the upcoming hurricane season,” said Carlos Correa.

This donation is part of the Correa Family Foundation's commitment to support organizations responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are grateful to the Correa Family Foundation for this generous donation,” said Mark Sloan, Harris County Emergency Management Coordinator. ”Partnerships like this show how our communities can get through the pandemic if we work together.”
