Harris County Offers ITC Fire Update
(Houston, TX) – The Harris County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency (HCOHSEM) continues to monitor response operations at the Intercontinental Terminal Company (ITC) plant in the City of Deer Park. The Harris County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) continues activated at Level III Increased Readiness and will continue to monitor events overnight.
Clean up operations are ongoing at ITC. Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has been briefed by incident command who assures that all necessary resources are in place. Should there be any changes, HCOHSEM will notify emergency management partners and residents. Surrounding communities should continue to monitor their local office of emergency management for the most current and up-to-date information.
