Tropical Storm Sebastien Forms, No Threat to Texas

Tropical Storm Sebastien is the eighteenth named storm of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season and is currently located off the northern Leeward Islands. According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), Sebastien will turn further north before being absorbed by a cold front this week. Sebastien poses no threat to Texas.

While Sebastien is not a threat to Texas, resources are still available for those recovering from Tropical Storm Imelda.

Apply for Assistance
  • Residents can apply for federal assistance online, over the phone, in-person at Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) or using the FEMA mobile app.

    • IN-PERSON: Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) continue to be at Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) to answer questions about disaster assistance and low-interest disaster loans.

      • HOURS: 8am-6pm, Monday-Saturday
      • DRCs will remain open after December 3rd for residents to check the status of FEMA applications and speak with agency representatives.
