The 2025 Harris County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan – Draft Now Available

Harris County invites all residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to review and provide feedback on the draft 2025 Harris County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Your input is a vital part of this planning process and will help ensure the plan reflects the needs and priorities of our community. The plan, developed with input from over 40 participating jurisdictions, identifies the hazards that pose the greatest risk to our area and outlines long-term strategies to reduce the impacts of future disasters. The draft is organized into two volumes:

Volume I: County-wide hazard profiles, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies (Click link to view)

Volume II: Local annexes for participating cities and jurisdictions (Volume II is broken up into three sections. Click links to view)

Ch. 1-14 (Harris County Annexes, Bellaire – Hunters Creek Village)
Ch. 15- 29 (Jacinto City – Taylor Lake Village)
Ch 30-44 (Tomball – West University Place, Special purpose districts)
