The City of Houston has LIFTED THE BOIL WATER NOTICE that has been in place since Thursday, February 27, 2020. Water quality testing submitted to TCEQ has confirmed that the tap water meets all regulatory standards to drink. Water pressure may still be low in some areas.
Per the City of Houston, before using tap water again, you should:
- Customers should flush their water system by running cold water faucets for at least one minute
- Cleaning automatic ice makers by making and discarding several batches of ice
- Running water softeners through a regeneration cycle
- If you have questions, call 311 or 713-837-0311
