HARRIS COUNTY JUDGE ED EMMETT ANNOUNCES THAT ALL COUNTY OFFICES AND BUILDINGS WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC TOMORROW DUE TO WINTER STORM

Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, the county’s director of emergency management, announced at a news conference today that all Harris County offices and buildings will be closed tomorrow due to the approach of the county’s second winter storm this year.

Harris County Commissioners Court’s regularly scheduled meeting, originally planned for Tuesday morning, will be rescheduled for later this week.

Additionally, all Harris County Courts will be closed and all jury service is cancelled.


County employees are asked to check with their supervisors to determine whether or not they need to report to work.
