FEMA: Texas Disaster Recovery Centers to Close Temporarily for Holiday Weekends

AUSTIN, Texas – State/Federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will be closed for the holiday weekends: 

  • Saturday through Monday, Dec. 23-25. (The centers will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 26.)
  • Saturday through Monday, Dec. 30, 2017-Jan. 1, 2018. (The centers will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.)

Survivors who have questions about their disaster assistance application may call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 (voice, 711/VRS) or 800-462-7585 (TTY). Lines remain open every day except Dec. 25, 2017, and Jan. 1, 2018. Helpline hours: 
  • Saturday, Dec. 23: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST
  • Sunday, Dec. 24: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST
  • Saturday, Dec. 30: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST 
  • Sunday, Dec. 31: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST

Survivors can visit any DRC for assistance. Center locations and hours can be found at fema.gov/DRC or by downloading the FEMA app to your mobile device.
